Should the mains water at your locality be rated as hard, it is recommended that you mix the mains water with distilled water. Otherwise, the appliance could calcify prematurely and clog the steam nozzle q. Child protection system This appliance is equipped with a child protection system. To activate the child protection system, slide the "Child Safety" switch 2 upwards to the symbol . The steam lever 1 can now no longer be pressed down. To deactivate the child protection system, slide the "Child Safety" switch 2 downwards to the symbol .
